Privacy Report Card for Parental Control Solutions

Parental control network devices (e.g., WiFi routers) and software applications are a very common solution to help parents protect their children while they are online. However, the majority of such parental control solutions have access to a significant amount of sensitive data that could be targeted by attackers. We investigated these solutions for possible privacy and security threats. The results of our investigation are presented under the Results Summary tab. Based on these results, we give some recommendations for parents as well as our developers in our FAQ.
